About the course
Are you a parent or clinician interested in understanding the critical role mitochondria play in brain development and neurological function? This on-demand course offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from Richard E. Frye, MD, PhD, a child neurologist and leading researcher who has spent decades studying metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction in neurodevelopmental disorders. This course explores how mitochondrial health influences brain development, cognitive function, and the risk for neurodevelopmental conditions.
About the Creator
Dr. Richard Frye is a Child Neurologist specializing in neurodevelopmental and neurometabolic disorders. He holds an MD and PhD from Georgetown University, completed residencies and fellowships at Harvard and Boston University, and is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology. A national leader in autism research, Dr. Frye has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and led multiple clinical trials investigating metabolic and physiological treatments for ASD, including folinic acid. His current research focuses on metabolic endophenotypes and targeted therapies for ASD. In 2022, he co-founded The Autism Discovery and Treatment Foundation and continues to see patients in the U.S. and internationally.
